Review - The New Valmet Line of Tractors
The new Valmet line of tractors (now sold under the name Valtra) is making quite the impact in the industry today. Starting with the lower powered A series, Valtra manufactures tractors and farm implements as large as two hundred and ten horsepower, the T series.
The A Series Valmet Tractor
With the most efficient power train in its class, the Valmet/Valtra A Series is a dependable and lightweight work horse that can tackle most of the small to medium sized jobs you throw at it. In my experience, the turning radius was tight, the center of gravity and wheelbase were wide, and the clearance is pretty good - all in all making for a very pleasurable driving and riding experience. As great as it can be, sometimes seventy-eight horsepower just isn't going to cut it, and in those situations you need something a bit bigger.
The C Series Valmet Tractor
It's smallest engine starts at ninety horsepower, so you know the C series is ready to pack a punch. Striking the delicate balance between power and agility, the C series was developed specifically with the needs of a livestock ranch in mind. Attaching a frontloader isn't a problem, and getting a C series up to 60 kilometers per hour isn't a problem. Agility and power, balanced. Even still, there may be some chores that require an even bigger engine, and for that, we have the T Series.
The T Series Valmet Tractor
Ranging from one hundred and twenty to two hundred and forty horsepower is the Valtra T Series. The T series not only boasts one of the largest engines Valtra sells, but it also has some of the most state-of-the-art hydraulic and mechanical systems under its hood as well. Designed to take down almost any job on a commercial farm or contracting job, the T Series is one great tractor.
