Information on Fortschritt
The technology developments in agricultural equipment were further explored with the founding of Fortschritt in late 1960s, Eastern Germany. At that time, Fortschritt was the main producer of high performing agricultural machineries in the world. The company introduced new standards and opened the market to new competitors. By the year 1978, Fortschritt owned the entire Eastern European agricultural technology.
The wide range farming equipment is dominated by threshing machines and includes hay balers, blower shredders, haymakers, manure speeders, as well as various types of combine harvesters. Between 1970 and 1988, over 90,000 self-propelled forage harvesters and windrowers were produced. At that moment, they were considered the world’s largest number of machineries manufactured in such short time.
