DAF Trucks, Getting the Job Done
DAF, a Dutch truck maker had its beginnings in 1928 by founder Hubert “Hub” van Doorne. Partnering with his brother Wim van Doorne, DAF produced its first truck; the DAF A30 in 1949. Sixty years on down the road and DAF trucks are still being sold and produced by Paccar, who acquired DAF in 1996.
There is a good line of DAF trucks, everything from cement mixers to demountable trucks, and a good selection in between. The DAF truck line seems to have just about any kind of work truck that somebody would need to get the job done.
For instance take the X5105, voted the ‘International Truck of the Year 2007’ it continues DAF‘s long legacy of building quality long haulage lorries. It is really impressive with its new MX engine, an engine known for its superb performance. The DAF X5105 is just one example of the DAF lorry line.
There are also used DAF trucks that are being sold on the market. A used DAF could be a good investment for your trucking needs. There are a lot of models and different year of lorry to choose from. You might find something like a 1991 DAF roadrunner with about 140000 km meter reading, or a 2007 DAF CF 85.340 Tipper, there seems to be a wide selection of second hand DAF lorries that are available to buy.
