Ford Tractors
Ford tractors are synonymous with a name that has virtually changed the way we perceive machinery. What Henry set out to do a century earlier is still echoed by millions of Ford tractors, around the world. In fact, these tractors were brainchild to be produced in mass numbers, to meet the demands of an ever increasing world population.
The Classic Models
The original tractor, Fordson has long been forgotten but the introduction of Henry Ford’s eventual dream of producing a successful tractor under the Ford name saw the evolution of an icon, Ford 8N model. Since then, Ford tractors have produced the most economical and highly functional stream of models that are unmatched in the history of agricultural machinery. Sixty years later, it is still possible to confront such classics as the 600/800 series, Ford Dexta and Super Major.
Used Ford Tractors
The durability and simple design of used Ford tractors are a testament to its innovative engineering. From the 30 hp, 4 speed transmission designs of Ford 8N to the modern 6 cylinder models of Ford 3000, 4000 and 5000 series, the technology has evolved to produce an ongoing breed of tractors using the same basic concepts employed by Henry Ford. Scandinavian countries are presently utilizing the immense power of Ford tractors like the 7810 and the 8210 series. These tractors can deliver more than hundred horsepower by a brute strength of a 6 cylinder, 70 liter per minute hydraulic output with an engine displacement of six cubic centimeters.
The Legend
The history of Ford Tractor is also a struggle to produce tractors under the Ford name. Many of the new and used Ford tractors are actually manufactured by the Fiat Agri company; a trend that initially evolved from the Fordson brand of tractors. Nevertheless, all of these farming machines are made to the original specifications of the Ford’s founder, who envisioned a machine that would eventually wipe out the hunger from the world.
